At O’Halloran & O’Brien, sustainability is more than a target; it is a responsibility.
We lead by example, reducing carbon, minimising waste and improving outcomes for people, places and the planet.
We are working towards achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, supported by measurable reduction targets and initiatives such as ConcreteZero, which sets clear goals for low-emission concrete by 2025, 2030 and 2050.
Across our B&T Plant Hire fleet, we continue to introduce HVO fuel, hybrid and battery-powered plant, while improving energy efficiency under our ISO 50001 certification. LED lighting, EV charging and renewable energy reviews form part of our continuous improvement in energy management.
Through digital engineering, 3D GPS-controlled machinery and model-led delivery, we reduce fuel use, rework and material waste. Sustainable site practices, including material segregation, recycling and dust and noise control, are embedded across all projects.
All staff receive sustainability training, reinforcing that environmental care is part of everyone’s role. Together, we are driving meaningful change and ensuring every project contributes to a more sustainable future.
