O’Halloran & O’Brien are proud to celebrate the topping out of the first phase at Holloway Park, marking a major milestone in the redevelopment of the former Holloway Prison site in Islington.
As Principal Contractor for Phase One, O’Halloran & O’Brien have led the delivery of the groundworks and reinforced concrete frame structures across seven residential blocks, ranging from 7 to 13 storeys. This phase forms part of a wider regeneration programme that will bring almost 1,000 new homes to the area — with 60% designated as affordable, including 215 homes for social rent.
Our team has successfully completed the core structural works, including reinforced concrete frames, drainage and infrastructure and the installation of two attenuation tanks. Work continues on associated external and public realm areas as the project progresses toward completion.
The topping out ceremony marks a key achievement for all involved, recognising the hard work, coordination and commitment of the O’Halloran & O’Brien delivery team.
Once complete, Holloway Park will provide much-needed social and affordable homes, landscaped parkland and community spaces — transforming this historic site into a vibrant new neighbourhood for Islington.
